Founder & CTO
Oleg Shinkazh is a founder of ChromaTan and inventor of “Countercurrent Tangential Chromatography.” He is a chemical and biotechnology engineer with 17 years of experience in R&D and technical support in the biotechnology industry, specializing in downstream processing/purification of human biologics. Oleg has extensive experience with all unit operations in the modern marketplace and has worked and collaborated with such industry leaders as Millipore Corp., Pall Corp., Genentech, Biogen and many others.

David Fogel is Managing Director of Swifton CFOs LLC, an outsourced CFO firm that provides emerging businesses with cost-effective and strategic financial leadership. David’s expertise lies in constructing a reliable financial framework to attract funding, which is a valuable guide for his clients’ continued growth. As a contributor to the ongoing development of greater Boston’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, he has been an active presenter and panelist with MassChallenge, CleanTech Open, WPI Venture Forum, Harvard Entrepreneurship Conference, 128 Innovation Capital Group, MIT Enterprise Forum Smart Start Program, Startup Leadership, The Capital Network and the MIT Entrepreneurial Teams (MIT e-Teams). He is also an active member of Mass TLC, MassMedic, Beacon Angels, TiE Angels and Mass Medical Angels. David is Adjunct Instructor of Finance and Accounting in the Master’s program at the Tufts University Gordon Institute and in the MBA program at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. David is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA). David has a BS from Miami University (Ohio), and a MBA from the University of Cincinnati.

Scott Zobbi is a sales and business development leader with over 30 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. He has a diverse background, from commercial therapeutic manufacturing and customer training to product management and business development. Most recently he was Director of Business Development and Strategy at Teknova supporting their large volume liquids business. Previously, Mr. Zobbi was the head of the POROS custom resin business while at ThermoFisher, establishing that product line and fostering the adoption of custom process chromatography solutions as well as deeply involved in the pandemic response. Prior to this Mr. Zobbi was a Senior Bioproduction Sales Manager serving the POROS products and contributed to their industry adoption while at Applied Biosystems and Life Technologies prior to their merger and acquisition by ThermoFisher. With a customer centric approach he has supported the process development and manufacturing space focusing on antibodies, vaccines, blood products, gene therapy, viral vectors and oligonucleotides. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of Connecticut and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts Boston.

Yvonne comes to ChromaTan with a background in Operations, Facilities, HR, and Project Management. Yvonne graduated from Villanova University, with a B.A. in English Education and has worked for several start-up companies over the last 15 years in various operational roles. Yvonne is supporting ChromaTan’s various operational activities that include accounting, inventory management, and government grant relations.

Thiago Millen

Thiago is an experienced bioprocess scientist with a broad background in mAbs, therapeutic proteins, and viral vectors downstream and analytics. Thiago earned his MS in 2007 from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and has 13+ years of working experience at fast-paced biotech start-ups and at a large biopharmaceutical company, in the US and in Brazil, with cross-functional research and development teams. Thiago joined ChromaTan in 2023 and is leading the Process Development team to optimize continuous chromatography purification strategies of biologics for industry partners, currently developing CCTC processes for viral vectors.
